Dr. Steve has adjusted patients as young as six days old and has cared for children at every stage of development throughout his career. Pediatric adjustments use extremely gentle pressure — fundamentally different from adult care — and are safe from birth.

What we see

Infants come to us most often for feeding difficulties, colic-type fussiness, and a preference for turning the head to one side — all of which can have cervical spine contributors from the birth process. One parent brought in her 4-month-old son alongside herself and reported being "elated with the results for myself and my 4 month old son."

Older children and teens come in for sports injuries, growing pains, scoliosis monitoring, and increasingly, posture issues related to device use. We see a lot of young athletes from the Groton area.

What pediatric adjustments look like

For infants, adjustments use no more pressure than you'd use to check a ripe tomato. There's no cracking or forceful manipulation. For older children, technique is gradually adapted to match their development. By their teenage years, most kids can receive care similar to adults, though always calibrated to their size and condition.

Dr. Steve's approach

Dr. Steve is comfortable explaining everything to both parents and children. He understands that parents need to feel completely confident before allowing their child to be adjusted, and he takes the time to answer every question. If you'd like to come in for a consultation before committing to care, that's always welcome.
